What it is

Ready for an unforgettable experience? The Arctic Digital Nomads Grant gives you the chance to spend 1‒3 months working, creating, or simply living in one of our breathtaking communities: Geiranger, Norddal & Eidsdal (Norway); Þingeyri (Iceland); or Vágur (Faroe Islands). Accommodation and a workspace are fully covered.

Who it's for

Whether you’re a digital nomad, an artist, someone curious about remote life—or even considering a permanent move—this is for you.

We value people who want to connect: with nature, with other nomads, and with the local community. We especially welcome those who bring their skills and ideas to contribute.

What’s included

  • 1–3 months of adventure: Office space and accommodation are fully covered.
  • A network: Connect with digital nomads and locals, share experiences, and build lasting connections.
  • Engagement with local life: From hiking, skiing, and soaking in hot springs to enjoying local food and culture, you’ll dive deep into the everyday life of your chosen destination.
  • Organised trips and experiences: Join activities arranged by our local hosts to explore hidden gems and connect with the region.
  • A non-touristic perspective: Gain an authentic look into everyday life in remote Arctic communities.

When you apply

When applying, we ask for a small 50 NOK (approx. €4.60) contribution to the Arctic Digital Nomads project. The contribution is paid directly to Stiftinga Geirangerfjorden Verdsarv, which manages the project. Arctic Digital Nomads is funded through grants and contributions, and your 50 NOK helps us cover the practical costs of running the application and selection process. It does not affect your chances of being selected.

If you’re selected

During your stay, we ask you to give something back to the local community in a way that fits your skills, interests and experience.

That could mean sharing knowledge, helping at an event, contributing to a local project or offering a fresh perspective. There’s no fixed format — contribute in a way that feels natural to you.
